I downloaded windows 10 upgrade, but when installing it it tells me to remove spy sweeper before continuing. I have had spy sweeper for ever on this computer, and through the yearly upgrades I currently have secure anywhere version 9.0 installed. Webroot support says it is compatible, so what gives ?

Hi Loneelk59
Welcome to the Community Forums.
We have had reports of this happening occassionally...itis just Windows having a hissy fit. But unfortunately you will need to comply. Having said that an uninstall/resintsall is very easy but if you want instructions on this please post back.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I guess I need help on uninstalling and reinstalling. My subscription is good for 322 days so I hope I wont have to pay again.
Hi Loneelk59
Let me assure you that you can uninstall & reinstall WSA as many times as you like and it has no effect on your subscription/there will be no need to pay again until it is time to renew. ;)
So to uninstall and clean reinstall please follow the steps below closely!

So to uninstall and clean reinstall please follow the steps below closely!
- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA, via the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel applet, and Reboot
- When ready to install again, i.e., after upgrading to Windows 10, do so with the new installer, enter your Keycode (the choice as to whether to import any settings if offered by the installer is up to you; personally, as you can set it up as you like once it's done, I would not import).
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again

Thanks for your help Baldrick ! I will do this and see what happens.
