Hi folks, After not using for a month I fired up my Lenovo laptop. On shut down it loaded many updates. Next day I got the message Windows 7 Build 7601 This Copy of windows is not Genuine. A microsoft article suggests this has something to do with webroot and certificate recognition. It's asking to reactivate, but I don't have a product key since this was windows was installed by a computer repair place. Can any one help?
thanks

For one it's nothing to do with WSA! Can you try to activate via online and the Windows product Key should still be in the system and if that doesn't work call in to activate and please let me know if that works! http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/activate-windows#1TC=windows-7
Thanks,
Daniel 😉
Thanks for the replies. I brought it back to the computer repair shop, and they entered the required code key. Apparently a recent microsoft update deleted the product key in the registry. Seems weird that an MS update would do that, but things seem to be working now. Thanks again for the suggestions. It's reassuring to be able to come to this community with questions.
