I have the exact issue described in this post: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Block-Allow-Files/m-p/279102

However in that thread, though marked "Solved", the OP never came back to confirm a solution.

In short, when I add a file to the Allow/Block list, I browse to the file, select it, hit Okay, and when it's listed in the Block/Allow list, it's shown with a different location, a temp folder under AppData, not the location where I chose the file. I have not been able to get the file listed with the correct location.

And the file is not allowed to run even when it's listed in the Block/Allow list with the incorrect location. If WebRoot Protection is turned off, however, the program runs successfully.

Any Suggestions?
Hello,

The link you posted doesn't work so can you post it again.

Thanks,

Daniel
This must be the one: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Block-Allow-Files/m-p/279102

And this was the Solution: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Block-Allow-Files/m-p/279125#M19518

Don't you agree? For a more Complete answer please Submit a Support Ticket and ask support directly.
I don't know if I agree or not, the OP never responded in the other thread. In the absence of any other suggestions I'll be removing and re-installing to see if it works.

Or contact Webroot Support: Webroot Customer Service
Only this afternoon did I get an opportunity to remove and re-install WebRoot. After uninstalling, I was careful to remove remaining WebRoot folders from Common Files under Program Files and Program Files (x86), and then reboot the computer before re-installing. And this did resolve the problem. The location of the application is now correctly shown when added to the Whitelist. Thanks.
We appreciate you letting us know, @! :cathappy:
