it appears that CryptoWall 3.0 is making a big surge. I was hit with it and I am running Webroot Secure Anywhere Everything. I have a backup but I think it is infected too. How did this happen? What do I have to do to get rid of it?

"Do Not Reboot" as it will make it more difficult to repair.
