I had webroot set to where the set and forget option was selected. If I had it set on "set and forget" but everything else on that list set on maximum and self protection was set to maximum and all heuristics were set to maximum and basically everything else set to max, would that have compromised my security when compared to having everything set the same way but with the "set and forget" option set to the middle instead of the "set and forget side"?

Hi
Another question:
Is it necessary to activate Windows Defender with WSA-C ?
I had desactivated it with my previous AV.

No you don't need Windows Defender at all but you can use it if you want to with WSA.@ wrote:

Agree with@TripleHelix. No need for WD. WSA has got your back. To me WD kind of seems useless.
Especially since MSE & the new Windows Defender in Windows 8 didn't even get Certified by AV-Test just Tested: =131469]http://www.av-test.org/no_cache/en/tests/test-reports/?tx_avtestreports_pi1[report_no]=131469 & =130597]http://www.av-test.org/no_cache/en/tests/test-reports/?tx_avtestreports_pi1[report_no]=130597
