Does Webroot protect us from the GodMode Folder malware?

Hi tsewall
Welcome to the Community Forums.
That is a good question, and knowing how efficient Webroot are finding and protecting against threats, but given that it is relatively new I cannot say for certain. Perhaps one of the Webroot Threat Researchers ? can advise on this point?
What I would say is that if WSA detects the malware but cannot classify it as either good or bad it will flag it as undetermined, and then restrict its actions whilst monitoring all that it does so that if if is determined to be bad in future WSA can use the journalling carried out under monitoring to roll back any actions take by the now determined as bad file.
Hope that helps?

We do protect against malware in "God Mode" folders. While the content of these folders is hidden from users, we are still able to scan and detect files within them.
