is there any setting in webroot that would interfer with emails being sent or received using outlook?

I have never had any issues with Outlook and Webroot, and I have never had to make any changes from the defaults.  Can you try to do a clean install to see this will help?

 


  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

If I may just add here, for as and when what David says proves to be true, and the clean install does not resolve the is, you may want to take a look at this Microsoft KB article which describes how to troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook when you cannot send or receive e-mails.  You will need to look elsewhere for an equivakent article if you are using 2010 or above, but this should be a good starting point.
