I'm running Windows 7 and computer is infected with csrss.exe. How can I remove it?
Hi Westerweb

Welcome to the Community Forums.

One needs to progress very carefully in relation to csrss.exe, so to make sure that there is actually an infection given that csrss.exe is the name of a critical system process but it is also the name of malware. Which it is depends on where it is found. The legitimate location will be in the system32 folder...if found elsewhere it is probably malware.

For that reason I would recommend that you Open a Support Ticket ASAP and let the Support Team deal with the potential issues for you...this is best left to the 'professionals'.  The service is free for WSA users who have a current/active subscription.

EDIT: I should also have pointed out that you should, if you have not already, run a scan with WSA before hyou open the ticket as the Threat & Scan Logs will be automatically uploaded to the Support Team as part of the act of opening the ticket and so best to make sure that the logs are up to date.

I hope that helps?
