I have loaded this, and am trying to add my PC, but it won't let me. It also won't let me do the intital scan because it says my subscription is expired.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
So you have installed WSA? If so then as part of the install process you will have been asked to provide a keycode. Do you have one and did you enter it in the field provided for during the install? If so then was it accepted or not, because if not then you will not have completed the install process.
Also, when you say you are try to 'add your PC'; to what are you trying to add it to? A little more detail as specifically what you have done and where exactly the issue(s0 have presented themselves would really help us to help you.
