I do not know how to set up a regular backup to an external hard drive with this software.  I have seen a vidoe, but that is useless.  There is no tab for backuo-synch on the main page when I open program

By looking at your online account, it looks like the subscription you have through Best Buy is for our Internet Security Plus protection. The Backup/Sync feature is only included with our Complete subscriptions, that is why you do not have the tab.

I'd advise contacting Best Buy to upgrade your license to Complete, and then the tab to sign-in will automatically appear.
