I have had this "protection" for a shor time. Since then it has found and protected me for a few small threats. But I keep getting many ads popping up, several times when we get on the computer a page comes up that will not allow us to go anywhere or close the page. I cannot get a url on it. But the following URL comes up with a page not asked for: http://wf.webrootanywhere.com/ConsumerBlockpage.aspx?brsn=3&bpass=0&bcat=56-&burl=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 Now that is something else! When I tried to call support, all I get is a third party service that has people working there I could not understand. I finally had to hang up. I want to talk to WEBROOT people, not a phone mill. I want a refund on this so called antivirus product. I hate what it is doing to my computer. Now I have to take to to a repair service to get rid of all the crap it has allowed on my computer! VERY UNSATISFIED!!!!

Hi GmaKrk
Dare I say...welcome to the Community Forums?
Let's see if we can take this one step at a time:
1. "I keep getting many ads popping up...".
In relation to the ads that keep popping up; do they appear when you are using your browser or do they appear when you are not even browsing the Internet? This is important as in the first case it is most likely that you need to activate or install and enable a popup blocking extension, such as AdBlock Plus, AdBlock Edge, uBlock, etc., depending on which browser you use.
In the second case this may be down to a PUA or Potentially Unwanted Application that may have gotten on your system. WSA does find and stop many such PUAs but not all.
If you can let us know which of the circumstances apply to you then we can look to provide more information on both or either of the above.
2. "...several times when we get on the computer a page comes up that will not allow us to go anywhere or close the page."
Is this the same sort of page that you have provided the link for later on in your post? If so then let me pick this up and the later point together.
What you are seeing is the Web Threat Shield in action. WSA has determined that the reputation of the site is suspect or that it is know as a source of potentially harmful activities that may affect your computer, and therefore WSA is warning, with the option to 'Unblock and proceed' if you disagree with the determination, the ability to change the classification of the site or to just plain stop going to the web site.
Generally, this works well but there have been occasional glitches, and in those circumstances it is recommended to close the browser session and retry accessing the site.
3. "When I tried to call support, all I get is a third party service that has people working there I could not understand. I finally had to hang up. I want to talk to WEBROOT people, not a phone mill."
As far as I know Webroot does not sun contract out it's support services and if you phone the appropriate no. then you should reach a Webroot employee, although in relation to phone calls Support is shut over the weekend, but the Support Ticketing system is open 24/7 and you can submit a ticket here. Please go ahead and do so as they are pretty responsive.
Would you please let us know which number you called especially if it was not one of the ones listed on the Webroot Support 'Contact Us' page (see here). If it was not one of those numbers then it would be interesting to know where you got the number from.
Also it would be useful to know from which country you hail from and from where you purchased your copy of WSA.
4. "I want a refund on this so called antivirus product. I hate what it is doing to my computer. Now I have to take to to a repair service to get rid of all the crap it has allowed on my computer! VERY UNSATISFIED!!!!"
I am sorry to hear you say that. If you would like a refund then please Submit a Support Ticket to that effect or phone the Sales Team on the number that you can find on this page and they should be able to sort you on how you can go about that.
Again, sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with WSA.
Regards, Baldrick

We dont not use any 3rd party support, you have most likely called a company that will charge you for a service you dont need. What has happened is that your home page has been set to a website that is being blocked. Reset your homepage and this will fix this issue. If you contact our official support we can do this for you if you want free of charge.
