Webroot is perfectly capable of protecting your system on it's own, and McAfee is really not needed. However, Webroot is also designed to work along with other AV programs, so if you leave it installed it should not hurt anything.

 

In my personal opinion, if your subscription to McAfee is nearly expired, or already expired, I would uninstall it and let Webroot be your main AV program. You will probably find that your system will be lighter and a little quicker with only Webroot installed.
