Subject line says it all....
Hi PatG

Yes, they do as they are retained in the local client. IT is only if you uninstall and then reinstall without importing previous settings will you lose those preferences. But if you are concerned you can always export the preference (Advanced Settings > Import/Export) and then once you have activated the new keycode you could then import the previoulsy saved settings.

But as I said above...you should not need to.

Thanks Baldrick!  So if I just insert the new code in the place under "My Account", then I will lose my settings, BUT, if I do as you said, uninstall/reinstall, then copy/paste preferences, all will be ok?  Do I have this correct?
Hi PatG

No, I am afraid that you do not...or perhaps it was my explanation that was unclear. :(

If you insert your new keycode & activate it under 'My Account' then you will NOT lose your settings.

However if you uninstall and then reinstall without importing previous settings (which is an option given by the installer if it detects that you have installed WSA previously) then will you lose those preferences.

So just go ahead and insert the new keycode & activate. But if I may just add, hoping to not confuse you, please make sure that you wait until the last minute to do so, i.e., to the day that your current subscription expires. If you activate the new keycode before that then you will lose whatever remaining subscription period you have on your current keycode.

Hope that clarifies suitably.

Well, matter of fact, I do.  Just thought about it so:  Am dual booting between win7/10.  Can I use the same NEW license to do the same thing that was discussed prior?  First do win7, then boot into win10 and repeat the process?  Am running both os's (only one at the time) using the same license.  Please advise.
Hi PatG

I am not 100% certain of the answer but I know a man who may well know it and hopefully he will be along shortly to advise. ;)

Just to add if you use a new keycode you will lose your passwords and back up & sync and settings so it's best to contact support and ask them to add the time from the new keycode or keycodes to the current one then you will not lose anything.

HTH,

Well, answered my own question!  Being as there are 5 seats in WSA, figured it out by looking at my console.  All 5 were taken, couldn't figure out who the 5th one was.  Then it dawned on me there was one for my desktop (win7) and the other desktop was for win10.  Anyway booted up in 7, activated the new license and it was just slick.  Thanks to all!  So if anyone else has this same question in the future, the answer is right here.
