Greetings,

Anyone out there know if  Webroot Secure Anywhere is aware of Zcryptor and updated to shut it down?

If you happen to know if the Webroot busines products, the same question applies, as I use both in my personal and professional lives.

A little more about it:

Thanks, everyone.

Hi cmilioti

Welcome to the Community Forms.

As this 'new' threat has been known about for a little while I would say that the answer in'Yes'.

Webroot analyses and add to its Cloud database over 200,000 files every day so the likelihood of this not already being covered are remote. However if concerned you can Open a Support Ticket and pose the question to the Support Team directly.

Also, perhaps ?, one of the Webroot Threat Researcher, would be kind enough to provide us with the Professional's view on this? :D

Hope that helps?

?,

We are aware of and protect against Zcryptor. The protection is the same for both the business and consumer products.

Thanks, Dan, the confirmation is much appreciated, as per usual. :D
Many thanks to Baldrick & DanP!

This is why I only specify Webroot solutions for my business clients and my own personal use.

IT is hard enough these days and Webroot is a huge boon to providing me and my clients peace of mind!

Thanks again.

Does Webroot anti virus protect against this threat and ransomware as well?
Hi Lyle

If you are asking a question then as far as I know the protection provided by all of the version of WSA is the same. They only differ in respect to the addon features that the Gamer, ISP & Complete version have.
