I just installed this on a brand new HP Pavillion, just out of the box. It totally locked up my system and now I'm doing a full system restore because it won't even restart. Did I install something wrong.

I do not think you did anything wrong.. there really isn't anything you CAN do wrong. There IS something going on with a very few specific brand and model of new computers that come preloaded with WIndows 10. (Windows 10 itself and Webroot get along just fine.. I have been on Windows 10 for over a month now.)
Webroot is very much aware of the issue and they are working hard to fix it. To get Webroot Support to help you with this, and this will also help them get things fixed faster, please Submit a Trouble Ticket. There is no charge for this, Support comes as a part of your Webroot license.
