Showing many "Active Connections" - what are they? They all have my PC name, and then numbers. About 6 or 7 of them. Was hacked, bought new router and Webroot. So .. what is this?
Hi JeffK

Welcome to the community Forums.

I have to say that I have the same; 11 at present but some times more and some times less. These connections are those made by software such as Windows itself, apps you have installed that are checking for updates and/or updating home base with usage details (usually anonymous), and of course any browsers that you might have open will have connections per site or tab currently being open in the browsers...so there is plenty to be active at any one time. But granted we often do not have all of the details of what exactly they relate to and therefore , of course, it is possible that one or more of these could be malicious.

But having said that I would say that with WSA installed the likelihood of it being hackers and WSA not spotting them is very small.

For more information as to how WSA manages these connections and protects you please take a look at this online help page, and then post back if you have further questions.

Hope that helps?

Regards, Baldrick
Yeah so > for sure my Facebook account was hacked, and maybe they actually used my router from what I can tell from the FB archive I downloaded. I bought a new one. Then I formatted my hard drive because Windows (7) was just weird. Some things not right. First thing after installing Chrome was to download and re-install Webroot. Right off the bat .. it shows that there is an active connection to my previous hard drive setting (since then it was formatted) that had been active for an hour, but that's impossible since the computer was wiped clean. Any ideas?
Could it be that the setting is being picked up from your Facebook settings/preference stored in Facebook, and that you do not know about or have access to?
