Hello. New here and Love webroot. Droppd (cough) Norton (cough) a few months ago and im so glad I finally did it. Question. I began to move over passwords to my manager and all working well, but I would like also for this on my other systems. Issue is, it appears since im the admin of five other systems and each of the other computers is run by another person hence they would need there own password manager. As of now unless im seeing this wrong, they cant have there own as its always tied to mine. is this right?.... Sorry if the question is a bit out there, im new and trying to pick this all up. Thanks guys.

Hi Datagg
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I am assuming that you are using the Business Endpoint version rather than the Home version?
I have no real experience of the former but in terms of the latter the PM data is effectively keyed/stored in the Cloud by keycode/user credentials. Chnage keycode and yo need to have the data transferred from the old to the new otherwise you lose it.
So if each of the other users use a separate keycode then they will have individual PM data stores, or at least that is how I understand it. If however they use the same key, i.e., it is one keycode with multiple seats then in principle they should be able to share the same PM data.
I will tag one of our Business version gurus@ to see if he can help in case you are using the former...but if using the latter I would suggest that you conisder the above and give it a try.
Also worth noting that the PM does have export & import features so you could always export a master set of PM data regularly and get it imported by the other users. Not saying that is a great way to proceed but without more background information I cannot offer any further more specific advice.
For more information on this feature, together with a link to a downloable PDF Guide, please see this page of help text.
I hope that in some way helps? Please post back if you have further questions or need more help.
Regards, Baldrick

To add a bit to what Baldrick has laid out, if you do indeed have a WSA-Complete license, it is a 5 user license. That means not just 5 devices, but you can also create 5 User Profiles, and thus Password Manager accounts.
Hi David, thanks...that was the bit that I was trying to put in when you posted...and had been in the back of my mind as missing after my response...may be worth coming up with a standard response in this area if we get more queries.

Hi guys thank you for the replies. Sorry i didn’t explain better. I bought the home version with the 5 key licenses. So it’s setup on 5 total systems all of which I set myself up as the admin of them. Meaning i can log into webroot panel and monitor them. Each system has its own user, so I’m not sure if i should have done it that way especially for what seems like apparently they can’t have their own password manager.
I suppose if the other users can’t have their own password manager based on how I set this all up I could just setup last pass for them. Now I’m thinking if would or could they have access to my passwords on their end?... No one else knows the login details, yet could they obtain them on their end as the key license is the same?.. Perhaps I set this up all wrong, I don’t know…. Thanks again guys for all the help and I’m sorry I didn’t say what version I had to begin with.
Edit - So to sum it all up. based on my setup here can each other user create there own account in password manager and have there own password areas?... or will this not work that way?.. Thanks guys.

Datagg,
You have it set up pretty much like I have my own 5 license Complete set up. I have main Console access and control the whole thing, but you CAN also provide separate Password Manager accounts to your other users.
Log into your Account Conole
At the upper right, click your email address
Select Manage Users
How many user profiles do you have set up here?
Just the one main one for you, or did you set up one for each user? With a 5 device/user licene, you can not only protect 5 devices, but you can have up to 5 user profiles on that same key code.
IF you have only one user profile set up, click that Create New Users button! Each user profile is, just like yours, a specific email address. Create an additional user for each of your other 4 people who need a Password Manager profile.
For each user, once created, go over the permissions. You can allow each user Console access, or block them from it. For each one you will need to set the permissions for Passwords of course, but you can also allow them Backup&Sync access as well. Each one should go into a different Backup&Sync folder at Webroot, so your users will not be able to access each others files OR passwords.
NOTE: Your backup allotmnent is for the entire group, not per user.
Go over all of the settings/permissions for each of your now 5 users and each as to what accesses you want each to have. I do suggest that you do not provide Admin Console Access to the other users...... that will give them access to make changes.
I hope all of this makes sense, but if not, let me know!

Excellent explanation there, David...lets snapshot it and use it as the basis for a standard Community Reply...discuss that with you offline as to how we get this done, if that is OK with you? :D
Datagg, apologise as I think that I may have confused you with my reponse, meaning that you did not understand David's first attempt to clarify. :$ I will have to make sure I reread what I post a couple of times in future.

Perfect explaination..... Yes there is only one user (me) at this point. I will begin adding a user, as I only want 1 of them (at this point) to have password management. I assume by doing this none of the other 3 will have any access to anything. i want there setup just to run on there end with no way of retrieving any info whatsoever.
again perfect explaination. I printed it out and will go from there. Thank you so much.
EDIT - Baldrick. No worries, i didnt explain my situation right from the get go. You guys are all awesome and thank you so much for the help. PS, that would indeed make a great sticky as the setup for this is kinda confusing. Have a great weekend.

You are most welcome! I feared I had still not written it up very clearly. I will work with Baldrick offline get something put together that is clearer, and we can use in the future to make things easier. Thank you Datagg for for the question, as it will help others after you and us in helping then :)@ wrote:

The other user who you give Password Mangement to will not be able to get to your Password data, nor you to theirs. Just set them up as a separate user as I noted in the previous reply.
Even if you log into the Console, as the Admin, you still cannot get to the saved Password data of any other users... it is quite safe and secure.
Any time you have a question, problem, or just want to drop by to chat we hope that you do!
