Would you be able to be a bit more specific as to what you mean by running slow?  
 
There are a number of reasons as to why that could be and whilst Petrovic has highlighted one of them it would be useful to get more context as to the nature of the issue as it may in fact be something to do with the installation , for example, and in that case we would recommend an uninstall/clean re-install.  We can provide instruction as to how to do this but rather than bombard you with useless information it is best we understand a little more as to specifics.
