Hi, I am a rellseller of your product in Bangladesh..Few month back I sold 10 license of five user product to a company. They are good customer and asking more licnese for 40 devices. But I got a complain from them that one important file was deleted after scan ..Please help me to know if any file is deleted after scan how it can be posible to take it back or go back to pre-infected situation so that file can be found in same place. Thanks
Hi tanvir0216

Welcome to the Community Forums.

May I ask if you resell the Home products and/or the Business products?

Usually a scan will place suspect or files identified as 'bad' will be quarantined and it is just a case of restoring what is required back from quarantine. But if quarantine has been emptied by the user then the files so remoevd will not be restoreable...unfortunately.

The rollback procedure that you refer to is one that is related to files that WSA scans but cannot determine as either 'good' or 'bad' and therefore are deemed 'undetermined' and their actions are journalled, i.e., what they do to the system they are running in, so that if at a later stage they are determined to be 'bad' then WSA can automatically roll back any actions they may have performed...however, as far as I am aware the rollback process does not allow one to recover the file concerned itself.

Now, the reason for my initial question was that the Endpoint or Business version may have other options/do things slightly differently and I am no expert in that version. Perhaps ? or ? who knwo more about this I would be able to comment/help out here? :D

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am not sure how the roll back works in the Business Endpoint. Here is some information here http://live.webrootanywhere.com/content/768/Checking-scan-results-and-managing-threats

? maybe submiting a Support Ticket would be of help here in the Rollback?

I am still very new at using the Endpoint.:(

Hi Sherry

That is definately an option but I suspect that tanvir0216 is misunderstanding what the 'rollback' does, i.e., it rolls back the action of the files being monitored rather than the files themselves...but I could be wrong about that.

Hi tanvir0216

As Sherry has suggested please Open a Support Ticket and see what the Support team can advise as and when you explain your situation/question to them. And if you do then pelase let us know what they come back with.

some you share link to get related information and some of you suggest me to open a ticket so that i can get support from directly support team ..Thanks a lot all of you ..I will check as per your suggestion and update here.

some one asked me here what I understand about rollback..If I consider a virus affected file then go back to pre-affected stituation, I undersatnd rollback ..Again if I consider that a file is deleted after scan by WSA then go back to previous state means before delete state so that at Ieast I can understand why those file was deleted or is any other option to recover data from those file. If I dont find file how I can think to recover data from file :)

hope I explain my view to all..Thanks to all again to discuss in this matter
