I entered my new Webroot keycode into my desktop and immediately my pc was protected with no problem.  In trying to check my Webroot console however, I was brought to the "create an account page".  Do I need to do this each time I purchase new Webroot protectioin?  And if so can I use the same information (gmail, password, security code etc.) that I used originally?  It is no problem to do it, I just wanted to be sure what the procedure is.  While I am here, do I also need to unistall the "old" (and soon to be expired) Webroot from my phone and tablet before I try to implement the new?  Thank you for any info  :D
Hi notpcwise

OK, let's decompose your questions and try to get you some answers:

1. I was brought to the "create an account page".  Do I need to do this each time I purchase new Webroot protectioin?

No, if yo plan to use the same email address for all subscriptions then any additional keycodes/subscriptions that you might purchase would go under the one account (I have two keycodes and they are both registered unde ONE Webroot account.

2. And if so can I use the same information (gmail, password, security code etc.) that I used originally?

As I said above, you can attach the new keycode to an existing account.  If you want to use a different email address, etc., then you will need to set uup another online accoun/console

3. Do I also need to unistall the "old" (and soon to be expired) Webroot from my phone and tablet before I try to implement the new?

As far as I am aware there is no need to do that unless you are chaning version of WSA.  In fact, say yo uhave the Antivirus version on your PC and you decide to move to the INternet Security Plus version you have no need to uninstall as on the PC there is only one version of WSA and it is the keycode itself that unlocks the features corresponding to the version you have purchased...it is all in the keycode...so to speak.

I am not completely sure if that is the case with phone (Android) version but I believe it is, and I am assuming that yo are not channing your phone version?

Hope that helps?

Hi Baldrick thank you for helping me.  On my desktop when I double click the Webroot icon on the bottom right of the screen the Webroot SecureAnywhere window opens giving me several options to look at.  When I click "My Account" the new Keycode number is displayed, the product is displayed and the version number is also displayed.  Under this information Is "Access Web Console".  When I click on Access Web Console  the "Create An Account" page appears instead of the webroot console.  It confused me because this didn't happen before when I wanted to access the Webroot console. I wasn't sure why and as you have probably already guessed I am nervous about really messing something up.  I was just going to add my phone and tablet to my "new" webroot protection because it covers three devices.  After reading your previous answer to my question I do think the current security on my phone may indeed be a different Webroot version....I am not sure about my tablet and now am thinking to be on the safe side maybe I should just uninstall them and re-install the new, what do you think?  Thank you again for helping me out, :D(This computer stuff is really daunting sometimes)  :$
I had to report that I am finally figuring some of this out.  My pc as I said earlier is covered, my phone is covered and my tablet is covered but has a couple of things that need "fixing" (which I am trying to figure out what I need to do). But Baldrick you did encourage me to take the plunge and you were absolutely right!!  And while I am still quite nervous about doing something terribly wrong I am delighted with my cautious progress.  Thank you so much for urging me on and for guiding me in the right direction.  Perhaps I may get this right after all!! :D  Thank you so much for your patience and taking the time to help.
