I recently submitted a support ticket.  When I go back to look at the ticket it says "Welcome Back.  Please enter the password that was emailed to you".  I have not received an email with a password (clicking forgot password does not help).  I do receive other emails from Webroot.  How else can I see the response on my ticket?

Thank you.
Hi eduk8e

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You will definitively be sent an email with a link to Ticketing System & a password to use in conjunction with your registration email address, to access the ticket. So if you have not yet received an email/password it could be that it is just that the Support Team have not yet responded.

How long ago did you raise your ticket? If only a few hours ago then I would with some more and post back hear if you are in the same situation.

In the interim perhaps one of our ur excellent Community Admins ? might be able to check on where you ticket is in the system and let us know if a response has been made or not? ;)

Hi,

I submitted the ticket yesterday morning.  So about 24 hours ago.  I also tried to contact @JamesG and it says he is offline.  I could not figure out how to send him a message.  Is there a live chat feature on here?

(I figured out how to send @JamesG a message).  Thank you for your suggestion.

Hey there Eduk8e and welcome to the Webroot community.

If you go onto ?'s page and look at the section on the right hand side named "Contact me" there will be a button labled "Send this user a Private Message" or try the link below.

  • Send this user a private message
Hope this helps

Brad

Thank you very much for your help.  I was able to send @JamesG a message.  I just need to submit a new ticket.
Hi eduk8e

There was no need to send JamesG a private message (not that it would hurt to do so) as I had already pinged him for you in my post (one pings another member when one adds an '@' in front of their username and then selects them from a dropdown list presented...therefore one shluld use it sparingly as each time one does it generates an email to the member...so if they are already active in the thread they will receive TWO emails on a new post that includes their username with an '@'...;)).

Anyway, hopefully he will get the message and respind once he has come online and checked up on your case.

That is good to know.  I didn't realize he was getting emails each time.  Thank you for the information.
No worries...;)...I am sure he will survive.

If some one has responded/posted in a thread they are automatically subscribed to it (unless they overtly opt out) and so are notified by email on a new post. '@' should really only be used if you want to attract the attention of or bring into the conversation someone who is not already a contributor or has manually subscribed to the thread.

Hopefully, JamesG will be around shortly...but I think that he is a busy man...;)

Regards, Baldrick
