Hey.

I am thinking of changing my antivirus over to webroot complete, as it seems to do everything I'd want it to do, but at a cheaper price, and has also gained some fairly high praise. However currently I have a few PC's with Antivirus that all expires at different times. I'd like to wait for the current antivirus to expire, so it doesn't feel like wasted money, before changing over.

So if I buy webroot complete for 5 devices, does the 1 year subscription "countdown clock" start for all possible 5 devices as soon as I load it onto the first PC, or does each device have a seperate subscription "countdown".

Any knowledge or advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Hello Swink and welcome to the Webroot Community!

The 'countdown clock' begins for all 5 seats of the license at the same time.

Thanks for the quick reply.

That's disappointing, but one con doesn't outweigh the pros i guess. Just going to have to time it so i lose the least of the previous subscription i guess.
That is a question I do not know about... I am a volunteer here, and not a Webroot employee, but my assumption is yes.  I just know how the key code acts when activated the first time 🙂  @ Can you give a definitive answer on this one?

I think that usually in the upgrade process the person has a single seat and needs more instead of multiple single seat licenses.

Once the key is activated on any device the countdown starts, it makes sense if you think about it otherwise a 1 year  5 user licence could technically last 5 years and a 5 user 5 year would last 25 years!

You can install WSA over the other AV`s if you want generally speaking we work fine with other AV products.
trust me its a good idea to get the complete version. Especially if you don't want a lot of junk on your comp. (cookies, Temporary junk files as a whole. (files you don't need ie.) I personally don't know enough about comps yet but in the brief time i had this it sped up all 3 of the computers that formerly had norton on it.  (they were slow as molasses before.) I got a great deal on this software when i first bought it. 😉 IT is worth it trust me. lol (and if you don't have webroot right now let me tell you it is way better than all the others.)

Call me a fanboy but this version is 1000% better than the norton 360 and seems to work really well. (I have been looking up stuff once and got hit with viruses which this cleaned up easily. ;)

The cloud i guess is where the updates take place. (i hope windows isn't the computer where the mainframe is. though i doubt it highly lol.) It is very light software on our computers.  My 4th computer had it from the beginning.

It still amazes me how protective and light the software is. But long story short we needn't worry about being protected while on this software unless we go to somewhere like brothersoft.com or some crazy site like that. (Not sure if they still a virus hotspot but I am guessing they are.)

Hey Swink - I can work with you on transferring remaining days on your other keycodes. Just let me know through a Private Message if you'd like to do so.
