Re: URGENT - WEBROOT PROGRAM DELETED ORIGINAL FILES WHEN SHORT CUT FOLDERS WERE DELETED!!!

 

We have never encountered anything like this before - but what just happened now is unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were cleaning up and deleting extra short cut folders and NOT ORIGINAL FOLDERS AND THEIR FILES, 

but as soon as we used your program to do it - WEBROOT DID NOT ONLY DELETE THE SHORT CUT FOLDERS,

IT DELETED THE ORIGINAL SOURCE FILES IN THERE AS WELL!!!!!!! OVER 400 GB OF DATA GONE!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? WHO IS THE MORON PROGRAMMER AT WEBROOT THAT WOULD INCORPORATE

THIS ERRONEOUS METHOD INTO WEBROOT!!?????? 

 

WHEN A SHORT CUT FOLDER IS DELETED - IT DOES NOT DELETE THE ORIGINAL SOURCE FILES!!!!!!!!!!

IF WE ARE UNABLE TO RECOVER OUR FILES - WE WILL TAKE IMMEDIATE LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST 

WEBROOT AND THE PROGRAMMERS RESPONSIBLE! I WOULD HOPE YOUR COMPANY HAS A SOLUTION

TO THIS - BECAUSE AS IT SEEMS NOW THIS IS CLEARLY GROSS NEGLECT IN YOUR PROGRAMMING! 

 

I EXPECT A PROMPT RESOLUTION. I AM NOW WARY OF EVER USING YOUR PRODUCTS FOR BUSINESS

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

I am afraid that yo uwill not easily reach Webroot Management by posting in the forum as it is precisely that; a forum run in the main by volunteers for the wide Webroot user community.

 

If you have an issue that you need rederess on then your initial & best option is to Open a Support Ticket, to let the Support Team know of the issue, the priority that you place on resolution, etc., and I am sure that like any professional organisation they will have an escalation process that will allow you to ultimately bring the issue to the attention of senior management should it not be dealt with in an approrpiate timescale.

 

We are unable to do this via the Community as, as mentioned previously, we are volunteers and not Webroot stasf or in any way affiliated with Webroot.

 

So please open that support ticket (the system is peopled 24/7) and let the Support Team geet involved to assist you.
