The title pretty much says it all, but I'll elaborate.

My Webroot SecureAnywhere subscription recently ran out for a few days.  I was very pleased with the service so I decided to renew.  I was taken through the Best Buy site to do so and opted for the $30 discounted price.  However, after paying and waiting for a few hours, I realized that I was not given any new keycode as it seemed to be asking for.  I was only given a serial number.  Was I just bilked out of my cash or is there a 24 hour period that I have to wait?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I tried calling the Best Buy number but since I didn't want their Geek Squat service, I'm not an important enough customer to answer to.

Many thanks in advance!
Good morning and welcome to the Webroot Community!

When you renew your Best Buy subscription you keep the same key code. (The same thing is true when renewing software that was purchased directly with Webroot.)

If you just entered your credit card information for payment, it can take up to 24 hours for the payment to be processed and authorized. You do not need tech support services to obtain help with your Webroot software, so you may want to call the Best Buy number again.
Allow me to clarify the 24 hour waiting period: I believe the renewals are done in daily batches, so when you update your credit card information, it will actually bill your card and renew your key code on the next daily renewal cycle.  If you updated the credit card today, it will be billed tonight and your software should reflect the renewal tomorrow morning.
