OK,

The scanning process will  freeze at a random percentage but the clock will still run into the 10 min. and farther and will not let me cancel the scan.

 

I shut the PC off and when I went back to WSA it said "last scan was 17 hours ago.

 

Right now it frozen at 18% and in the  13 min. range. Will not let me cancel.

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

 

Can you right click onthe  taskbar and open up Start Task Manager and you will see Webroot running or not responding. Can you click on Webroot and end task in the  Applications .

 

Then I would strongly advise you to uninstall/reinstall Webroot as follows:

 

Please follow the steps closely!

 


  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Wow,

I had to beat the heck out of this PC to finally delete and get a new installation of WSA Complete.

 

 Every time I tried to remove the old installation with "add or remove programs" WSA asked why ?

 

I was very polite but there were at least 4 attempts.

 

I found a old entry about disconnecting PC in user account and that and a little pounding(Manipulating) on the PC

 

a blue WSA screen came up and that was it...........
