How do I temporarily deactivate webroot so I can download a new printer driver from HP? I believe webroot is blocking the installation process.

Hello kenc, welcome to the Community!
You sure can, but remember to make sure that you turn WSA back on as soo as you are done. Also, since you would be running with no protection, I would STRONGLY urge you to use a download ONLY direct from HP. It is VERY risky to use 3rd party download sites with protection disabled.
If you have been trying to download from a 3rd party site, that might be the problem as it is.
RIght click the WSA icon in the SysTray
Click Shut Down Protection
You may need to provide your WSA access code as well as a CAPTCHA screen depending on your WSA settings.

Hello kenc,
You can also submit a Support Ticket so that we can troubleshoot what may be causing the issue with the HP printer driver and get that corrected.
Thanks,
-Dan

Thank you for the tip.........I will try this as soon as I get my nerve up. I am not tech savey on the computer and am always hesitant to try new things because I am concerned about screwing up even more.
In that case, I would urge you to follow what@ wrote:
