Hi all
I am always interested to understand what the 'average' (and by average I am not attempting to denigrate user who are not quite as manic as some of us about WSA...and perhaps have a more 'level' view of things...;)).
Was browsing Amazon the other day (UK site) and got flipped over to the US (.com) site and noticed the following:
(which is interesting in itself because on the UK site the same search title brings up a parloous interest in the product) and I started investigating the 1-3 stars reviews...and it made for very interesting reading indeed...not only in terms of the complaints but also about the misconceptions about the product. :(
Not sure if anybody from Webroot reviews these sorts of reviews but I think that it should be considered as a very useful feedback mechanism on the consumer side of the product.
EDIT...just spotted that MikeR does review and respond...which is great :D as I have not noticed this re. many of the other security apps sold through this 'channel'. Kudos to Mike & Webroot for that approach.
Still interested in anybody elses views re. this. :D
Regards
Baldrick
PS. Nice, though, that in the main the reviews on average give the product 4.5 stars.

There's no online shop here in Germany where you could order SecureAnywhere. It looks like version 2012 was sold on Amazon but now it's no longer available.

Well @ I wouldn't say we are Manic about WSA we just know how it's works and the greater benefits of using WSA and it's Cloud Database called WIN! We try our best to show and teach others about it's Monitoring & Rollback Feature that can even rollback the encryption of malware types like CryptoLocker!
Daniel ;)
@ Also Germany has an office to get WSA from: http://www.webroot.com/de/de/company/contact-us
Daniel ;)
OK, Daniel...perhaps 'manic' is not the most apposite term to use...but then I did not want to use the term 'fan' as that unfortunately has negative connetations in some people's book. I should have used 'knowledgable user' instead...so I stand corrected. ;)

I know that you can directly order WSA from Webroot, I just wanted to mention that there are no resellers for the average users in Germany :)
I'm also in contact with Webroot UK because of our trial if Webroot Endprotection.

Great to here how do you like it? Did you see it compared to the others? https://community.webroot.com/t5/Community-Announcements/Introducing-Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Business-Endpoint-Protection/m-p/116818#M2656

I personally do like WSA because of the way it works and the fact that it's just running without any problems. Also Webroots reputation and the community here are a big plus point. Of course the performance of WSA is great, but it would also be nice to finally see a comparsion of the security part of WSA against other vendors (how's the discussion going with AVC?).
On the other hand a week is just to short to learn everything about a product and I'm also seeing some disadvantages compared to the traditional antivirus solutions. Currently I'm building up a list with these "disadvantages" and my questions and I'll post it in the business community next week; it would be great if you (and of course everyone else) could help me there.

Let us know what you have posted comments.. either us volunteers or Webroot employees are always happy to answer anything we can, and dont forget you can also make requests in the Ideas Exchange here or the Feature Requests in the Business section too!
Hi regnor
Was just going to say that it will be very interesting to see your list...hopefully we can ally your fears as to WSA being the best solution for you.

I`d like to point out that with Amazon reviews some of the 1-star reviews for products can be really odd/fake/incorrect. You often see people giving bad reviews because of shipping problems or they havent understood what they ordered and its not the correct item. That shouldnt be allowed to stand due to user error if the delivery takes really long thats not Amazon`s fault!
I would advise looking at any of your favourite products and look at the 1-star reviews and prepare to laugh/get angry!
Also with WSA I have seen people give us a bad review because we didnt remove the malware from there PC, but in fact there PC HDD was toast and its a hardware issue that no amount of software is going to fix.

We do review all these, and respond to some of them, as you've noticed. We also take the feedback on the product and pass it along to our dev teams for evaluation. We can have the most awesome AV in the world, but if a feature isn't easy to use, or confusing to setup, then the average user won't be happy with it. So that usability feedback is very important.
