Windows Vista has recently given me a security warning on each bootup.  It rindicates that "Webroot SecureAnywhere reports that it is turned off", and consequently that I'm not protected from viruses, spyware and other malware.  When I look at Webroot's status panel everything is apparently functioning correctly and is turned on.  My 5-user licence for Webroot is currently used on three other Vista laptops, all of which report this problem.
Hi john-whyte

This looks like being related to a known issue that the Webroot Support Team are working on. Please see this previous thread for the salient details. Whilst the thread is about Windows 10 it is looking like it is affecting other version of WIndows as well.

Please Open a Support Ticket to advise the Support Team of your issue and that you are seeing this in Vista.

Many thanks for that, Baldrick.  Yes, as soon as I posted my query I spotted the existing example and followed the suggested fix .  This seems to have cured the problem!
Hi john-whyte

No worries...I hope that the fix does indeed work for you as there have been a number (and increasing) of users who have applied the fix, which has appeared to work initiially but then some 24 hours later the issue, i.e., messages, seem to reappear.

Please monitor the situation for us and advise back over the next day or so if you will as to whether the fix has indeed stuck for you or not...it would be good to get that sort of feedback either way. ;)

Many thanks in anticipation.

Regards, Baldrick
