No matter what settings I use it will not scan at the scheduled time, nor if not able to at that time, it WILL NOT scan on bootup. This morning the status showed the last scan to be 22 hours ago (had to manually do that one) and the next one not again for 23 hours. It is currently scheduled to scan every day at 8:00AM or upon bootup if resources not available (I take that to mean the computer is either 'sleeping' or 'off').The 'enable scheduled scans' box is also checked.
I addressed this problem in a posting earlier this week to the community and I acted according to the responder's answer but to no avail. Forgive me if I err but I think the responder may have been 'ShortCircuit'?? Thank you in advance for a solution to this situation as it is inconvenient at best and leaves me with the feeling that I may not be all that fully protected at least.
My wife is experiencing the same problem on her new (Dell) Windows 8.1 PC as well.

Hello there 🙂 Welcome back! If you have double check ALL of the Scheduler settings, and it just plain refuses to scan accordingly, have you tried to do a 'clean reinstall'? This is pretty easy to do, and it can end up fixing quite a number of things.
Give that a try, and let us know what the result is. We will go from there 🙂
- Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again
Give that a try, and let us know what the result is. We will go from there 🙂
Also to add to make sure you want it to scan at an exact time see picture, also I like to see the Scan Window so the reason for the others being unchecked.

Sorry, but that doesn't work either. I get a dialogue box that's seeking a valid keycode.
Do you have your Online Account set up? If not please do so and can you tell me how many devices you have it installed on?
@ Looking at your keycode it's all letters can you tell me where you got that from as it should be a 20 character alphanumeric keycode like this one and it's no good. SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584
Thanks,
Daniel
Thanks,
Daniel
Bless you Daniel!
I feel so stupid ....... I've been using the PRODUCT KEY # and NOT the KEYCODE #.
Everything is reinstalled and the first scan was successfully performed.
I thank both you and David for your help and I will close the loop tomorrow to let you know if this was the "fix" that will allow automatic scanning.
Best regards,
Tom

David & Daniel (aka shorTcircuit & TripleHelix),
THANK YOU GUYS!!......and a VERY MERRRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours on this day of joyous celebration and I hope this finds David fully recovered and enjoying his day.
I'm not sure what the last thing I finally did was that you gave me to work with (probably the reinstallation) but THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED!
Webroot now scans at the scheduled time if the computer is in use AND also upon bootup if the PC was off at the scheduled scan time.
That is precisely what I was hoping for and you saw to it that I'm now able to.
Again, thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
