Another 'Misfire' on the current Webroot product.

We run AnyDesk for PC which is a remote-screen device for our desktops.

But when Webroot is running.. it gets TAGGED, Stuffed and Cuffed by Webroot's scanners and put into the Hoosky Jail.

 

AnyDesk.com and its Remote Desktop product is legit but it IS a Remote Desktop, So I find I cannot filter out Webroot from Quarantine'ing it soon as it is fired up for action.

 

Anyway this can be overcome, so we don't get this false reading?  Thanks.

I would suggest that you contact support and report them your problem. 

As anydesk is a quite new product it will probably be unknown to the Webroot team, but for the future they can white list every new version. 

 

By the way how is Anydesk working for you(besides the problem with Webroot)? We thought about going with Teamviewer but Anydesk also sounds interesting.

Have you tried to set the relevant files that are identified as block by WSA as 'Allow' under the 'Block/Allow' function that you will find under the Advanced Settings for PC Security (click on gear/cog to the right of the PC Security tab and then select the 'Block/Allow' tab).

 

Try that if you have not already and let is know how you get on.

Well, TeamDesk is a much more versitile system, that offeres a lot of options for 'Power Users.'

AnyDesk is a simpler program and interface which just gets the job done, so we opted for it here. :)

 

And yes, it getting Whitelisted would be wonderful. I believe I set the files to ALLOW but it still gets flagged.
Please Submit a Support Ticket and they will Whitelist all your files for you then you will be good to go!

It's getting flagged as AnyDesk seems to be related to a well know adware toolbar. I am testing it now to see exactly what it does.*Edit I have whitelisted the program now it will run and execute without any alerts.

thanks for whitelisting Anydesk; like I've said they're new on the market.

Anydesk is developed by former Teamviewer employees so I think it can be trusted.
