What is the difference between Home and Business versions? From the system requirements here, the Home version supports for the latest Mac OS version Sequoia, but the Business Endpoint version doesn’t? Only Mac Ventura?

@hungpham We are working with the team who manages the requirements page to get this updated. I can confirm we support MacOS Sequoia with both the Business and Home/Home Office versions. Our general commitment for OS support is the current version and 2 previous versions. Reference: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/legal

“16.   Desktop Operating System Requirements. For Webroot AntiVirus, Webroot AntiVirus for Gamers, Webroot Internet Security and Webroot Business Endpoint Protection:

A.   New device operating system releases – Webroot will typically support a new release of the operating system in the current product release and/or the next product release approximately three (3) months after the General Availability of the new OS release. Previous product releases may not be enhanced to support the newly released OS.

B.   Device operating system end of support – Webroot will support Windows and Mac operating systems according to the criteria below. If you use an unsupported operating system, you may still be protected by Webroot, but you will not receive Webroot feature updates and the risk of malware infection will increase.

  • Windows – current and previous two versions
  • macOS* – current and previous two versions ”

From a security perspective the software is nearly identical. The primary difference between SecureAnywhere on Mac for Business compared to the home version is that it gives you the ability to lock-down local control over the agent and manage it centrally from the online console. You can also entirely hide the user interface so the agent operates transparently in the background. There are some additional features in terms of Process Log reporting for threat related events, as well as the ability to isolate a device from the network. A useful set of features should a device become infected.
