I think he was more concerned about an attack from the other direction - someone internal that has access to sensitive information - or if someone obtained our login information to the web console. We have intellectual property that we need to protect, which is our biggest concern.



Our current anti-virus is on one of our servers, rather than in the cloud, which he likes better. I am not sure if it makes much of a difference in terms of security...
Probably the biggest security risk would be the login to the console then.  You can issue commands remotely to computers through there, which is great for a sysadmin, but could allow an insider to run something malicious.  As long as you control access to that console well then you should be ok.
