I joined the community today to see if I could get a better understanding of what I'm doing with my computer's security and to find out why everyday Webroot sends me an alert to send the error log to Webroot. When I try to send the error log I get a message that the effort failed and to try again. It always fails so now I just cancel it. What's going on? I have the Webroot Antivirus with spy sweeper product. I also have AVG anti virus free edition running as well. Do I need both?

Fact or Myth? "I can still get infected, even if I don't download files."

[b]Fact![/b] Back in simpler times, you had to keep a close watch on .exe files. Now, malware infections can occur through “[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drive-by_download]drive-by[/url]” downloads. The malicious code lurks on seemingly innocent content, which then executes automatically via vulnerabilities in your browser without your knowledge. In other words, you never know what hit you.   Cybercriminals are even using advanced distribution platforms to deliver their drive-by exploits. Great to see Webroot has it's own community now.Was an old webroot customer from the early spysweeper days,then onto Norton and Kaspersky.WSA is by far the best ,lightest,most comprehensive suite available.When Webroot acquired prevx i followed the work that was being done and upon release of WSA came back and am back to stay.Welcome to Triple Helix and the rest of my friends from the Prevx/webroot area of the wilderssecurityforums!
