How to block ad.yieldmanager and ad.doubleclick.net in webroot?

Hi - Use to be able to block those while interent browsing under the older version of webroot. (Just type in the URL) Under the new version it directs to look for a file on your PC.  But there is no file on the PC for these. Just comes up when you get to a website using the adds.  Way to fix this in the new version? thanks, Bob

Hello peeps, am new here & am need of help & thought I had it fixed with the Geek Squad.. :-(

I took my Samsung in that needed a new hard drive. I had the geeks replace it, I thought they were going to give it back to me with all of the info from my old hard drive on the new one but ummm.. no.. that didn't happen.. so I'm sitting here on my laptop with the backup info that was done on my WD External Hard drive in June.. I already tried restoring it but it didn't seem to work.. I don't know what the freak to do.. All of my Office, etc. programs are on the WD & there's nothing on my laptop.. I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff.. :-(  Can someone please steer me in the right direction.. pls... someone..  anyone.. ?:$ Thank you

Greetings!

I have recently learned, and started making use of Webroot.  I started working for a major retail chain, in their customer technical support section, about four months ago.  I learned about Webroot in one of my standard training segments and have used it since.    I love Webroot, and advise clients to use it as their computer security system.    As someone that deals with computer problems on a daily basis, with the majority of them being malware, I hope that I can assist if there are any questions relating to such problems.   GSA

page poped up and locked my computer

my computer had a page come up. it said FBI has locked your computer and if i get a green dot credit card (its a temp. card like the visa.gift card.)and pay 300.00 within 12 hours it will be unlocked otherwise i could face charges. i first ran webroot and my computer unlocked. i am a novice computer guy and did not go on any sites or use any language that is bad. does any one know if its real ?  their were no numbers to call just said to pay 300.00 fine.

Using password manager

This is a new computer that I installed Webroot on and while attempting to use the password manager I get this error code 10 with the reason (xmlhttperror) and have no idea what that means. Also, any type of assistance needs to be simply stated because I am not very technical in computer language. Thanks.

Hello Everyone

I am just finding my way around the forum. Just a little confused by it.   My name is Joe and I live in Ojai, California. I am an 79 year old widower living with my Basset Hound Fred.   Ojai is a small community of about 8,000 located in southern California.   I am a computer nut who seems to always be building his [b]next [/b]computer. In the past year and a half, I have built 3 Windows 7 computers and my [b]NEXT [/b]one just needs 8 G of memory and an operating system and I can start getting it running. Needless to say, I would accept donations.:D   My friends think I'm crazy and I am beginning to think they are right. I have been using Webroot Internet Security Complete for about 3 1/2 years.Users out there who may have older relatives who are not very computer literate: Hey give Webroot a try. The USA$80/annum fee gives quick scans of your computer, not to mention keyboard logger protection. It  is a worthwhile investment. Have kids at college? You can protect their machines too! Makes a great.gift. I have tried different vendors over the years. I live in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. I don't go with the well-known one here.

How do I scan a peripheral drive

hi. i am new to the forum.   does anyone know how i can set up the Home Edition  to scan a periperal 1TB drive?   i am running windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP3 w/ Webroot Home 8.0.4.17   my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1403 (vintage 2005) with an Intel Celeron 1.5 GHz chip w/ .99 GB RAM   my peripheral is an Iomega 1TB  HDD EGO hard drive with NTFS file organization   thqanks for your help   G

Secure Anywhere Glitch?

I didn't know this community existed and I am glad to be part of it.   My account was recently automatically updated with the new Secure Anywhere software and very soon thereafter I began receiving warnings from Webroot of "threats detected, malicious content" where my options were to allow with caution or close, thereby shutting down my webpage. These warnings came to sites that I frequented and were benign such as Yahoo, Yahoo Sports, and even my inbox. I had never before received these and they came faster and faster. The ultimate fix was to uninstall and the reinstall my software and so far no problems.   I want to make it clear that the Webroot Technical Support Team were very helpful and accomodating and addressed my issued in a timely manner and that so far the problem seems to have been fixed.

Just signed up with what seems like a great community. I've been using the 2014 AV 6 month trial for about one month now. Seems to play well my setup (dual core 3 year old win 7 laptop) and existing 2014 AV from Finland.

TextExpander Fails to Work on WebRoot for Mac

I am unable to get TextExpander to work on my macintosh due to secure input being enabled by WebRoot.    Can I not white list this application in some way on the mac? Webroot Community site isn't displayed correctly

Hello,   Since this morning I cannot get correctly displayed our community site in Opera 12.16. Until yesterday everything was alright, it started today. I cleared cache and rebooted but to no avail. Opera 17 and IE9 shows the site correctly. Only Opera 12.16 displayes it wrongly.
