How do I skip scanning files or folders?

Some folders contain only large graphics files. Others are strictly historical and will never be updated.

Yahlover.worm virus - I see your reply per my last question

Please note that this is a virus that shows up on your screen: Your screen turns red and there is a message to call 888-373-0151 and it states that your computer is infected. I immediatlly cntrl alt deleted it while it was running. I did call the 888 number but I didn't give my IP address. I was told that if you give th IP address to that party at that number, that then they will upload the virus to your computer. So I am safe correct?

Can you tell me if Webroot removes: yahlover.worm

Can you tell me if Webroot removes: yahlover.worm   I had ared screen pop up on my computer and it specified a number to call and the above virus name. It said to call a 1 888 number.   Does webroot protect my laptop from this type of virus please?

Windows 10

Do I need to disable webroot in order to install and configure Windows 10?  I am currently running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron with a 64 bit  operating system.

How do I scan an external hard drive, or a thumb drive with webroot?

Installed Webroot AV, and can't find how to scan my extermal hard drive, or a thumb drive. Any ideas? Thanks

My wife's computer has some sort of adware or malware.

I put webroot on it, but the adware or malware tops the link and says to call a phone number.  I did a re-upgrade of windows 10. Still there.  Any ideas what this is?

No longer shutdown; now snoozing??

Is there a reason why Webroot SecureAnywhere v 9.0.8.72 discontinued my ability to shut it down completely and replaced the function with "snoozing"?

Webroot removes my DLLs from the address space of Chrome!

When I try to use AppInit_DLLs to load two DLLs (in the System32 folder) into the address space of Chrome.exe, Webroot removes them. What settings are available to allow my DLLs to remain loaded? Thanks, Pete

Renewed Subscription - mine expired

Hi, just a simple matter.  Webroot came up red and said my subscription had expired.  So hit download and then the Red Webroot came up again.  Not sure what to do I actually thought it hadn't downloaded so after looking at my installations I actually download it four time.  Non-techie here.  I was able to click on scan my computer and it did so.  Does the Webroot turn green again or stay red?  I know silly question but I'm curous.  I went to my bank statement and did see my payment was taken out. windows event log

When WSA detects a malicious file, does a record show up in the windows event log?   I would like to setup a scheduled task that occurs when a malicious file is detected.  Any idea how this could be performed?

Why does my new Webroot not have Identity Shield under Identity Protection? Only Phishing Shield.

I may have already answered my question just by registering...anyway, I just renewed my Webroot and now do not have the Identity Shield tab under the Identity Protection console.  Only the Phishing Shield remains and is turned on.  It no longer shows me with a green check that sites are safe plus I am getting weird emails, so I feel like my information is no longer safe.  What is wroong?  Is it because of the type of webroot I now have?

I want to remove the Palikan virus - will Webroot assist me?

Hello:   My laptop has been infected with the Palikan virus and it takes control of my browser, providing me with inappropriate and unsolicited junk mail.   I want to remove it and want toknow if it is sequestered by Webroot to remove it.  I understand that the removal of this virus is a big deal.   Thanks,   Berniemcg

Scan not working!!
