Good Evening! Don't know if it's been mentioned previously...have the developers at Webroot...thought of providing their own firewall with Hips? I Haven't posted in quite some time...but intend too quickly rectify my tardiness...so apologies if this is old news. This forum by the way is superb in it's layout and implementation. Hi all, I purchased a Latop ASUS in Best Buy and they included the Webroot WIS 3 User 6 months package (27 U$S). I have installed the software, created the Webroot account, everything is OK, but I couldn´t find the way to extend the 40 days coverage to 6 months.. I have installed the sofware 10 days ago and I every day I receive the message ...You have 30 more days.. Any TIP to use the 6 months coverage included with my ASUS Laptop? TIA!
A friend of mine uses Internet Security Plus. I have Complete. Recently, she was experiencing a browser hijack (adds popping up in chrome) and I had her run her WebRoot and nothing was found. I then had her download and run Spybot, and it found 49 level 5 threats. So my question is.... WebRoot does not find these kind of problems? I assumed it did.
I am not saying it was because of upgrading to Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials but I never noticed it prior. I read about the wireless keyboard issue but not wired. Just figured I would throw this out as a possibility? OK - I have tried this with two different external Microsoft Keyboards. 1. I will be using my keyboard and bouncing between keys and keypad. I normally just use the DEL key on the KeyPad for the most part. All of a sudden, I will hit the DEL key and a period comes up as if it changed into NumLock mode. As a matter of fact, all the KeyPad keys work as they should as if I had it in NumLock Mode without the NumLock indicator being lit on keyboard. I tried hitting the NumLock key to get it back to normal but nothing changes - it is as though it is stuck in NumLock mode. I might add - when I do hit NumLock - the indicator will come on and when I hit it again - the NumLock indicator light goes out but it seems to still be in NumLock Mode. 2. Periodically Webroot triggers a UAC popup asking for Administrator approval. After I approve whatever Webroot is doing I find that Synergy has disconnected from my 2 other computers. The Synergy service is running but requires a stop/restart to reconnect my screens. Is there a way to avoid this?
hi I just installed a sealed copy of secure anywhere essentials 2012 that came with my pc last year. I was previously using another vendor that has just expired so thought it was time to give this a try. To use some of the features in the control panel like passwords etc it wants me to upgrade. Do i have to upgrade to use those features and what version would i need as i can't see essentials in the products line now thanks grizz
Just downloaded wsa, now I can't get online. Using windows 7.
Problem: I can't download anything. It downloads and it says the download is infected by a virus and it deletes the download. For example logmein or carbonite deluxe-the download is blocked. Secondly I can't get into MS security essentials. I am blocked. Query: What do I do? I can't get online help because any download connection is blocked. Any ideas? Thanks. Ted
I have a freshly updated Mac to OS X 10.8.4. When I run the WSA installer it completes but it doesn't scan/activate/update. I did a manual removal through terminal and tried again, no luck. I did run Repair Permissions / Verify Disk. Any tips?
