Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ - Internet Security Plus
Am now an ex-Essentials user who is in limbo between Internet Security Plus & Complete. My auto renewal proposal is Complete for 1 year for 5 PCs, for £49.99, with no option to either reduce the number of PCs in the license or what will be effectively to stay with Essentials, ie, renew to an Internet Security PLus license for 3 PCs. Can anyone advise what I can do to get what I want, ie, Internet Security Plus for 3 PCs rather than Complete for 5 PCs? Thanks in advance. Balders
I have my scan schedule set to scan daily before noon when the computer is idle. I turn the computer on about 8AM everyday, and leave while I'm doing other things around the house. When I get on the computer around 11AM it still has not performed a scan. I usually 'wake' up the computer by moving the mouse. [i]( I just have the screen saver go blank after 10 minutes and the monitor turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity, but leave the HDD and System Standby running).[/i] It was performing the scan after I woke it up, but lately it doesn't and I run it manually. Does the monitor and screen saver turning off cause it not to perform the scheduled scan?
I just want to info the members here on Webroots Community Forum about a possible "Bug" with WSA and MBAM. Every once in a while the Update Button is grayed out on MBAM. This has been seen using Windows XP only. I deactivated my computer from the webroot online console and now cannot get it back on there, wondering if anyone could help me out? I also cannot get the toolbar working even after doing the repair install/download. I used to have a subscription to security essentials and both that account and my new account are showing up in the online console wondering if that may have something to do with it as they both were purchased using the same email address? If so, how can I remove my old account with the expired keycode? Thank You very much for your time!
Hello, I installed SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus on my laptop a few days ago and I haven't gotten to check the web console until just now (I've used Webroot products on mobile before and have an account on the web console). Interesting thing is, this aforementioned latest install isn't showing up on the web console. How could that have happened? (another issue: The keycode I entered in my keycode DB on the web console shows that it's only valid for one install, but the "box" says its valid for three installs, or as the box calls it: "Protects 3 devices".)
Just purchased Webroot Secure Anywhere with Password Manager. I am having a problem logging into my Secure Anywhere account via the IE or Firefox toolbar icon. Keeps telling me that it does not recognise the email acount I used - even though it is the same account I used to set up the account. Does not matter which browser I use. Can anyone help?
I do not care about the WR toolbar, but am I protected using Chrome when I am visiting sites? I am using the current version, 22.0.1229.94 m, but see no signs of WebRoot as an extension, or in blocking any sites I have visited, although I generally only visit the big name sites like MS.com for example. If using Chrome is a liability, then this should have been more clearly stated when I purchased the product. I use Chrome 99% of the time.
Yeah, that's strange.... But Webroot just freezes firstly my browser especially FireFox, when I'am watching YouTube or downloading pdf files... Then just freezes whole system..... These seems quite look so with Google Chrome.... It does not like good Webroot, it doesn't.......
Hi Folks I have just reinstalled WSA due to a problem withProtected Websites again. The programme appears to be working OK but when I try to access My Account it will not accept my Security Code. Help!!! John

On Win XP Computer I have the Following Problem: Both WSA and MBAM Pro work well together until I do a Full Scan with MBAM Pro. It takes over 1 hour for scan to complete. I also noticed that WSA is using 50+ % CPU while MBAM scans. Computer freezes for about 5 minutes after scan completes and after a restart computer runs very slow for about 5 minutes. I did a full Uninstall and reinstall of both programs and problem still there. I disabled WSA from Task Bar Notification Area and ran a Full Scan with MBAM Pro. Scanned normal, 30 minutes. Restarted computer and computer running normal. Can't do a full scan with MBAM Pro with WSA enabled. Trouble Ticket sent to CS about this problem.
Hi all. Unfortunately WRSA is causing some annoying slowdowns for me on two different computers at home. I've posted about the issue on the Wilders Forum (hello any fellow WilderBeasts!) and also have a support ticket open. Angela from the Sydney office has reproduced the issue, but as it seems to be a rare problem a fix has been a long time coming. I'm hoping to see if anyone here has experienced the same problem, as I'm feeling "special" in a bad kind of way :( Firstly, the issue only occurs if one user logs off and another user subsequently logs on. There are no problems when the computers are first switched on. Secondly, the issue is fixed if WRSA is shut down and then restarted. The problem will then only re-appear following another logoff/logon event. Whenever a new or updated program is run, WRSA performs an on-execution scan of any files (exes, dlls etc.) which are loaded. If no logoff/logon has occurred the scan happens at WRSA's normal speed and no slow
Sure hate to post such a elementary question, but......after being upgraded from Essentials to Complete, EVERY time my machine boots, it places the WSA icon on the desktop. As it is in the tray, don't want/need the icon on the DT. I tried doing an edit in MSCONFIG.EXE and it still puts it on DT. Even deleting it is only temporay, next boot there it is. How can I permanently keep it off my desktop?
Hi, Having the firewall setup "Warn if any process connects to the internet unless explicitly allowed" and wanted to check how it works ending up quite surprised in the end ... I chose vlc.exe process (VLC player) under Network applications and changed it to Block from Allow. Afterwards I had run VLC player and had triggered the update check supposing that VLC wouldn't be able to connect to the internet due to imposed the connection rule to Block. However to my surprise VLC could check for the updates. Am I missing something as regards the firewall rules? Is there any way how could I properly check the firewall blocks the blocked processes/applications for the outbound connections? Thanks & regards, pegas EDIT: Strange ... Somehow Webroot is blocking KeyScrambler from Opera Web Browser. I have it set to allow in Firewall. If I disable Webroot it works fine????? Your thoughts? Webroot Security dialogue "The foreground window is being protected by Identity shield" How do I fix this? Also padlock is not showing on some secure sights? Hello, Before I begin I should say that this is my first time posting here and I do not think that there is anything wrong with my computer. However, I have noticed some odd things. To begin, I started using Webroot 15 days ago when I upgraded to a new computer and have been very satisfied with it. I have noticed that in Webroot it says that my protection has been active for 18 days which is literally impossible as I have not even had the computer that long, yet Webroot does have the correct amount of time until the subscription runs out. The other odd thing that occurred today was that Windows had Webroot ask permission to make changes to the computer which it has never done before. I was trying to perform a scan and this came up. Now this may just be a technical glitch and I am overreacting, but I am just interested if anyone has any solutions/comments/thoughts to add to this. I should add that at no point has there been any warning or quarantine messages that have occurred and I h
I think I read somewhere that the new Webroot password manager is based on Last Pass. If true, can existing Last Pass data (vault) be transferred to the Webroot version? I ask because I currently use Last Pass and would consider using the Webroot version instead.
Ok, I will say it before anyone else gets a chance to even think it "What a dummy". tonight has not been my night for computer smarts. My default printer was still set as the printer at my mom's. So none of my confirmations were printed out. And my IE had to recover the web page (which it did not bring me to the download page. As it stands I do not have an order number, a code, or the download. What should I do! Big question and I will be so appreciative if someone has an answer for me. Hi all, I've already contacted support about this and I'm getting nowhere so I thought I'd try here. Last month I bought SecureAnywhere Essentials for 5 PCs. Today I wanted to try out the Backup & Sync solution but no matter what I do, I am getting an error that my credentials are invalid. Also, I had decided to look into upgrading so I could use the password manager features. When I go to upgrade/renew on my account though, it says I "You are currntly using the best security protection for your PC." and that I own Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. Yet, there is no password manager in the software I have installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and am running 8.0.2.14. Any idea why the discrepency in versions and why the backup tool won't recognize me? Is everything lost in some kind of transition with the new product line? Support has just asked me to reinstall again and keeps telling me my license is for Essentials, despite what the site is telling me.
My Essentials Identity and Privacy Protected Applications show the msimn.exe in c:program filesoutlook express and mshtml.dll in c:windowssystem32 buttons as Deny. iexplore.exe in c:program filesinternet explorer show the button as Protect. Shouldn't all three of these show protect since they are all Microsoft products? I even clicked store defaults and they stay the same. My identity shield is on. :8

The [b]Essentials[/b] license that I am using now is getting close to its expiration (31 days left). I have a New 1 year [b]Essentials[/b] Keycode that I wanted to add to this license. I put in a ticket to CS and this is the reply: Hello, Thank you for contacting Webroot. We have looked into the accounts your asking to combine days. At this time we are unable to do this. You have two different products from Webroot if your still having questions and to better assist you with your inquiry, we recommend that you contact our Sales Team. Can anyone tell me how to delete a user from the Manage User dropdown. I created a fictitious user because I am having a problem with Backup and Sync. I am the only one who uses the computer and being the Administrator, it will not allow me access to perform backups. When I created the fictitious user it allowed it access to backups. I have been trying all day to resolve the problem, even contacting Webroot support and uninstalling and reinstalling Essentials. Not only do I not have access to Backups and a fictitious user, my file manager shows my computer three times and it will not let me delete any of them.
