Password for remove Webroot Endpoints

Hello I use policy for my sites. Some times technicians have to desactivate or remove Webroot in computers. But they have not access in Internet so they cannot use the administration console. But, the users must not delete or desactivate Webroot. Is it possible to have a password for the desactivation or removal of Webroot Endpoint directly on the computer ?   In resume, I want to have the possibility to remove or desactivate Webroot Endpoint directly on computers (for example with the panel control or line commands), but I want that the users cannot to delete or remove the antivirus.   Regards,

After examining the sys log, the computers are getting random bugchecks (bsod).   You guys at Webroot seriously don't expect us to replace keyboards as the fix !!!!!!!!   I have had to temporarily "Deactivate" webroot from these machines (12 endpoints)!!!!!     If these isn't addressed it is looking like we will end up shifting our clients to Barkly or Cylance.

hello, i bought endpoint for a client and did not get verification email to access console

hello,   i bought the endpoint for a client and set up the email and password / pin. i received no email to confirm and can not access the account. when i attempt to login to the account it says invalid of course because i did not confirm it yet.   so how do i get this fixed. i want to get this installed monday and need to fix this. i also attempted to request a "forgot" password as well as pin and did not get those emails either.   the email we used was different then the one i purchased it with because they do not want to use my email of course. so what can i do to resolve this issue?   thank you very much

InDesign on Mac

Windows 10 workstation/clients using WSA?

Does anyone have issues with issues Windows 10 workstations using WSA? We have one workstation that locks an auto-increment number file almost all time. However, other workstations do not have this issue. Any ideas?

How do you whitelist a compiler exe file ? It seems that Webroot is erasing my compiler created EXE

When I compile a new program Webroot is preventing the new EXE file from being written to my local C: drive.   Also when I copy an EXE file from my network to my local drive, the file will not copy.   When I close Webroot down, I can do the above without a problem.   Our IT company can't seem to find a solution.   Thanks,   Bill Eyring

Multiple file masks on single override entry

I'm setting up a Hyper-V server and am configuring overrides to whitelist specific file extenions.   My question is can I list multiple file masks per override (comma-separated list) or do I need a separate override per file extension?   Thanks in advance.

Webroot on occasion severely slows down windows on Parallels?

Webroot on occasion severely slows down my windows on Parallels? Normally Parallels is as fast if not faster than a native windows machine.  Can this be fixed or avoided?

I keep finding WRSVC service using 99% to 100% of server CPU. Cannot resolve cause. Please help?

When Webroot performs the scheduled scan of a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM it appears to get stuck and uses all the CPU.   Server is the domain controller and is running a couple of SQL based applications and hosting shared data for a small business.   I have tried reinstalling the programme, renaming the WRData directory etc. Most times when I reinstall or restart Webroot and do the initial scan it completes in around 10 minutes. About every two days I get a call from the customer advising they cannot work. Restarting the server appears to clear the issue. I have looked at other threads relating to similar issues but have not yet found a permanent solution.    Any thoughts on what I can try next to get this issue fixed please?

What is smtp.ocx?

On many of the computers I install Webroot on, smtp.ocx comes up as an infector.  Is this a false positive.  From what I can tell this appears to have something to do with Windows

lock on webroot icon

Why is there a lock on my webroot icon in the bottom of my screen? It looks like a combination lock that is placed right over the webroot icon. It will not let me go to a couple of websites even though I just scanned the computer.

AV updates to remote locations

I have PC's that are located in remote locations and not connected to internet. Is there a way to get definition files to these PC's via flash drive or DVD?  My concern is getting virus from tech support folks working on the system and bringing flash drives to retrieve data or load software.

what makes an active Webroot account disappear?

I recently did some computer installations and added 3 Webroot accounts at one of our locations. After the installations, an existing installation that was on a different computer disappeared from the console. Webroot still shows on the actual computer though. What would cause this? It has happened at other installations as well..   Thank you. Lisa

Enable "Scan files when written or modified" on server?

I see that the recommended default for the realtime shield setting "Scan files when written or modified" is OFF.  Has anyone tried turing this on?  Does it adversley affect performance?

Endpoint installation alert not received in Gmail

I've created a support case on this issue; however, I am currently in a trial of the GSM.  I setup an email alert to my Gmail address for new end point installations.  The first few came through, but were very slow.  Now I'm not getting any.  The last dozen or so have not triggered any email alerts.  Yes, I've checked my Gmail Spam folder, not in there.  Anyone else have issues with alerts and Gmail (or alerts in general)?

Push out Registry command to all systems to add a DWORD value

Hey All,   Is it possible to push out a registry or DOS command to add a 32 bit DWORD named  "Enabled" with a value of 0 to the following key in the Windows registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows Script HostSettings   This is essentially disabling the Windows Script Host to prevent scripting malware and we don't want to have to go to every system at certain clients. They also all don't have domain or group policy environments so that's not always an option there.   Anybody know the right registry or command prompt arguments to do this through the GSM console? Can somebody audit our GSM?

Hi,   Who do I contact within Webroot in order for them to take a look at our GSM policies etc.. to ensure that they are in good order? As part of our companies internal auditing this summer, we have to provide a clean bill of health or recommendations on what we need to do to improve our security policies, and Webroot is on that list.   Thanks John

How do I allow the user to open the webroot interface on the system?   Right now it it will say " please contact your network Administrator to access the interface of secureanywhere"   what do i do on the web console ?
