I accidentally installed McAfee Security Scan Plus on my computer when installing “Free Acrobat Reader.” I already have Webroot Security Anywhere that I paid for. I have tried every single way of removing it including their removal tool. How do I get it off my computer? I am using Microsoft Windows 10 on a desktop PC. Thanks for any help!!

Funny as I installed Adobe Reader in Windows Sandbox and there were no options to choose and I don’t see McAfee anywhere so where did you get your installer? Make sure you use the one I posted above!

+63If that doesn’t work you can try a system restore: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/use-system-restore-a5ae3ed9-07c4-fd56-45ee-096777ecd14e and pick something just before you installed “Free Acrobat Reader.”

+63After it’s sorted and when you install Free Acrobat Reader make sure during install to uncheck all boxes that show extra things you don’t want like McAfee Security Scan Plus and anything else as they also bundle other products with there installers so be-careful.
