Hi guys,

Is there a way to block files depend on extensions?

In the whilelist I can do that to allow them but in the blacklist there is no option but MD5, so if I want to prevent scripts files to work with extensions like *.js,*.jar,*.bat, ..etc, is there a way to do that?

Here is a good add-on for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/noscript/

And for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/scriptsafe/oiigbmnaadbkfbmpbfijlflahbdbdgdf

They might not cover all your asking.

Thank you for your reply, actually I want that for windows files not to use these scripts if found on a PC, such as File Resources Manager from windows server I can do that for shared folders not to accept such these script files, is there any such that option in console to manage allowed and blocked files depend on their extension?

Are you a business user? If so you should contact Business support so they can answer your questions better! https://mysupport.webrootanywhere.com/supportwelcome.aspx

Thanks,

I’ve contact them an they have replied that there is no way to do that via Webroot, so I will do that with GPO from Windows Server

Hey @MohammadEid ,

So did their response answer your question fully? If you need me to follow up and get some more details, I can certainly do so!

Thank you for kindness :grinning:
I don’t know if you have another solution for this, but from their answer I will search about GPO or something like to prevent scripts to work on domain environment :grinning:
