I want to visit an NOAA site to look at some data. It says I need to install or activate Flash. I stopped using flash several years ago because of security concerns, and as far as I can tell, flash is going away (outside of the US Gov)

Is it worth the risk to install/activate flash?

It's fine to use Flash if you keep it updated and from the right place usually once a month.

Download and be sure the addons (Optional offers) are unchecked: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

And to check your version: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/flash-player.html

For Firefox:

If you use Windows 10 Flash is updated via Windows Update for Internet Explorer and Edge and if you use Google Chrome when you update Chrome they have the latest Flash installed as well only Firefox remains to be updated via Adobe Flash site.
