Can I submit Ransomware Attempts?

Good morning,

This morning I received a ransomware threat from “llswainww” at Hotmail to my personal email address (not hotmail), but I was wondering if Webroot tracks these for Threat Intelligence?  Or should I just delete it?  I’m not concerned about the threat, because 1) the password “Darnell Cvek” says he has is one that I haven’t used in maybe 10 years, and 2) having to re-image any of my computers would just be a nuisance.

Please let me know if the email can be of use for intelligence purposes!

Thanks,

Patrick

Hello @Krieger_bot

Just delete the email and do a scan with WSA to make sure your clean and if you need a security check please Submit a Support Ticket and they will check your system out.

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue.

Thanks,
