I want to scan my external drive connected to my network router. I don't find the ability to route scanning beyond the system hard drive.

I assume that external drive is set up so that you can access it through Windows Explorer.
Open Explorer
Right click on the drive
Select Scan With Webroot
This is the same method you would use for a USB drive. I have not seen anyone doing it with a NAS unit, but hopefully it will work!

It works with network storage, have tested it at home and here in the office.
