Hi bjnno1

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I take it that you are getting a Webroot web page warning you that the site you are attempting to access my contain malcikous links or the like?  If that is the case and you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that the site that you are attempting to access is safe, then all you should need to do is click on the 'Unblock and proceed' button in the bottom lefthand corner of the blocking web page.

This will whitelist the site on your system, so that you do not have the same issue the next time you attempt to access the site, and it will also notify the Webroot Threat Researchers of the override so they can check into whether the blcok is founded or not.

Remember, do make sure that you are sure about the site before proceeding.

Please post back if you are experiencing something different to what I have described above, and we will look at this one again foir you.

Regards, baldrick

Thanks for replying so quickly.. no I'm not experiencing that...

I've downloaded the DING application from Southwest.com but I'm not getting any of the DING messages.  I know it's a trusted site, I've used the DING feature on my other computers for several years but not sure how to fix this.

I've also added their web address to my trusted sites under the Internet Options on my internet window but this doesn't help.

Hi Bjnno1

OK, well we can put that one aside then.  ;)

Well, then given that you have downloaded something to your system and it could be WSA's interaction with that which is 'interfering' with the communication I would like you to check the following three location in WSA:

1. PC Security > Quarantine > Detection Configuration
2. Identity & Privacy > Protected Applications
3. System Tools > System Control > Control Active Processes

In each of these it is just possible that a component of the software that you have downloaded has been set to "Monitor," or "Block/Deny.  Check the files/apps listed in each area and if you find any related to the software then pelase refer to this KB article for reference to what the settings mean, what settings you can adjust and how to do that.

If that does not yield any results for you then please post back again and we will approach this from a different angle.

Regards, Baldrick

I went into Webroot and checked the first two options (didn't see anywhere where DING was blocked) and I couldn't find the 3rd option you mentioned...

Hi bjnno1

Apologies...please read:

3. Utilities > System Control > System Control > Control Active Processes

instead of:

3. System Tools > System Control > Control Active Processes

Hopefully that should get you there...;)
