i AM TRYING TO DOWNLOAD A NEW WEBROOT BUT I CAN'T GET RID OF THE OLD ONE IT WON'T ALLOW ME TO DO IT

Try this to see if you can uninstall and if it doesn't try in Safe Mode with Networking: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/PC-Uninstallation-Option-Missing-from-Control-Panel-and-Start/ta-p/34688 and try typing it in as sometimes copy a paste doesn't wok and if you need Safe Mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=windows-7 and if you have Windows 8.1/10: http://www.howtogeek.com/107511/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-8-the-easy-way/
 
Then do this:
 
Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!
 

• Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
• KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
• Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
• Uninstall WSA and Reboot
• Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
• Let it finish it's install scan
• Reboot once again
