Hello there!  Welcome to the Community!

Please be patient with me as I explain, but I will try to keep it simple.

First, your WSA is probably already actually activated.  You can verify this as follows:

Open WSA
Click the 'gear tool' next to My Account
Check the Status and the Subscription lines.  If it tell you how many days remaining on the subscription, it is activated.

OK, now the other part.  That bit about the Security Code is used for logging into your Online Account system.  Creating and logging into the Account is not required to activate the software on your computer, but it IS needed for a few of the features such as Password Management.

The Security Code is a code that you set when originally creating your Account.  I believe that when a key code is used for the very first time, it will automatically take you to the Console to create your Account.

You will have decided on a user login (which is your email address) a password and a security code.  If you cannot remember the password or security code you can recover/reset them by going to the Account Console login, and then click the "Forgotten Password" link.  It will give you an options on recovering password and security code.

I hope this helps, but if you have questions just let us know!
