Hi. I have Webroot Secure Anywhere that I obtained from Best Buy when I purchased my new computer. I have it only on my desktop and have Windows 10.

1. How on earth do you perform a Deep Scan? I don't see an option for it?

2. I have scheduled my scan on bootup. However when I rebooted my computer it did not perform a scan. I used the 6am selection although I am not sure why one has to select a time when you have it scheduled on reboot. I rebooted the computer at 9PM and I choosed the 6am option. Is it my understanding it will only perform a scheduled scan only at the time you selected even though one can reboot at any time?

3. I see there is an Eraser option but I don't see how you activate it when you want to delete something.

Sorry for these basic questions but  I couldn't  find the answers to my questions.

Thank you.

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community

Webroot SecureAnywhere allows you to select several types of scans:
 • Quick.  A surface scan of files in active memory. This scan runs quickly, but may miss some types of inactive malware that launch after a system reboot. Note: If the Quick scan misses an infection, the main Webroot screen remains red until you run a Full or Deep scan.
 • Full. A scan of all local hard drives. This type of scan is helpful if you frequently switch between system partitions or you have several programs that have never been scanned before.
 • Deep.  An analytical scan that searches for all types of threats, including rootkits, trojans and inactive malware. This is the default scan that runs from the main panel or system tray.
 • Custom.  A customized scan of files and folders (see the instructions below).
To run a custom scan:
 1. Open SecureAnywhere.
 2. Click the gear icon next to PC Security.
 3. The Scan & Shields panel displays, with the Custom Scan button at the bottom of the left panel.
 4. Click the Custom Scan button. The Customized Scan window displays.
 5. The window provides a descriptive list of each scan option. To limit the scan to certain folders and files, select Custom, click Add File/Folder, and use the Add button to select the folders and files you want to scan. To delete a file or folder from the list, highlight it and click Remove.
 6. To run the customized scan, click Start Scan.
