tried this:

wrsa.exe is no where to be found on my PC.

windows 10

i worked with webroot tech support last week and they ran some tool that wasn't public that made windows not boot any longer. i had to do a system restore.

this is absolutely ridiculous that this software is so hard to get rid of. kaspersky won't install because it detects webroot. when i right click on a file, the option "Scan with webroot" is there.

i've run the following registry cleaners but to no avail:

Glary

CCleaner

Wise

Eusing

i've run the cleanup utility from here as well:

https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/uninstallation-issue/td-p/2502

http://download.webroot.com/WRUpgradeTool.exe

please help me get rid of any and every trace of webroot secureanywhere from my PC.

thanks.

i've followed this as well:

Run regedit, edit > find [search for and delete anything WRData, webroot, WRSA.]  Open Windows Explorer, adjust folder options > view tab > show hidden files and show protected operating system files. look in ALL user/appdata / local, local low and roaming. Look in C:/Program Files, look in C:/Program Files (x86), Look in C:/Program Data. This is how I just cleansed and disinfected a customer's Windows 8.1 laptop of this rather loathsome malware.
there is still this:

and the service:

Hello ?, welcome to the Community

I am sorry you have had such a difficult time removing the software.  That is quite highly unusual, but there are still options that we can use.

What your images show is that during the install process, a custom option was taken to 'randomize' the install location and filename.  This is offered in order to prevent malware from attacking WSA itself.  That would be why your forays into the registry failed to locate all of the required files.

Please see THIS KB Article   NOTE: Be sure to MANUALLY type into the Command Prompt.  Do NOT copy and paste: it probably will not work due to issues 'translating' from Unicode to ASCII. ALSO NOTE  Make sure to use the actual insall path as noted in your image, AND the file name.

If this does not work, you can also log into the Account Console  and follow the directions found in THIS KB Article.

I hope one of these methods will be met with success.

NOTE: for future reference, the "uninstall tool" you referred to in your post is not for the current versions.  That is used ONLY for the Legacy (2011 and prior) versions of Webroot, prior to the WSA product line.  Chances are you will never encounter an installation for which that will work at this point in time.
Hi Evenkeeled

If I may add to what David has advised...if using the commandline expression from within a Command Prompt you should make sure that the Command Prompt is opened/run with elevated or Administrator rights otherwise the entered expression myay not execute properly.
