Does Webroot not protect Microsoft Outlook?

Hi, I have protection via Webroot. But I keep running into a problem. Someone keeps hacking into my Microsoft Outlook email and sending spam emails. What do I have to do to protect my email account? Get a spam protection from my Internet provider?

I have had to change my password on that account over ten times in the last four months. It is getting very upsetting to do. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Emails aren't scanned by Webroot, but as soon as you try to run a malicious attachment WSA would block the execution and protect your PC. Also if you would click on a link in an email the URL will be scanned against the cloud database.
You have to keep in mind that WSA works a bit different than other antivirus solutions; instead of scanning everything all the time and wasting hardware resources, Webroot tries to intelligently protect your PC against threats.

You could try this amd select the spam email, right-click, choose Junk from the drop menu, and click Block Sender. Or, Select Home > Junk > Block Sender. Outlook marks it and relocates it immediately. Use Block Sender frequently to automatically add the senders to Junk Email folde

Hope this helps?
