password manager
I have been using Firefox password manager for years but it was disabled by webroot. Should I re-enable it or import the data into the webroot manager? Is there a way to get the webroot password manager to pick up new (to it) passwords automatically the way Firefox does? Is the firefox manager listed in the list of password managers you can import directly from?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
To answer your question "Is the firefox manager listed in the list of password managers you can import directly from?", YES, it is. You just log into the WSA Password Manager, click on the down arrow next to the Password Manager icon, select 'Tools' > 'Import From' and the first entry you should see in the resulting list is 'Firefox Password Manager'.
To answer your question "Is there a way to get the webroot password manager to pick up new (to it) passwords automatically the way Firefox does?", YES, as long as you are signed into the Password Manager when you visit a site and enter credentials on the site's login page then the Webroot Password Manager will in 99% of cases offer to save the credentials for you with the option of specifying (i) Auto Login, and/or (ii) Auto Fill, etc.
In response to "Should I re-enable it or import the data into the webroot manager?" I would say the choice is yours...it is down to what you prefer. Perhaps the best approach would be to give it a try, i.e, compare and contrast both on a small set of sites and see what you think?

Thank you for your help. I guess the question about firefox vs webroot password managers is whether one is significantly safer than the other.

That is a good question and speaking personally I would think that the Webroot one is the most secure as your passwords are actually not held on your local client but rather in the Webroot Cloud and so not at the mercies of anyone intending to try to steal them.
As to wherther that is significantly more secure...I would say yes, but that is once agian my personal view.
